Last week’s Cruffin flavour prompted a lot of talk about TV specifically Squid Game and will there be a series two? We don’t like spoilers so we won’t spell it out… if you’ve seen episode three of the series you’ll know why our Honeycomb & Chocolate Ganache gave the green light for a Squid Game discussion.
For those that don’t know a cruffin is CRoissant dough baked in a mUFFIN tin. Ours are dipped in sugar after baking which gives a doughnut like appearance. We bake fresh daily but change the flavour weekly. The Honeycomb is made by us (think the inside of a Crunchie) and they’re filled with a rich chocolate ganache. This week we’ve made a caramelised white chocolate ganache for inside and topped them with salted caramelised almonds…
As well as Squid Game we’ve also been watching and discussing Maid. Oh my – quite a heart tugger… comment below with a hello and let us know what you’ve been enjoying. We’re very ready for a new series to sink our teeth into…
Well October is here and with it some exciting news from us… a new special on our shelves – THE PUMPKIN SPICE CROISSANT. We know a lot of you can’t get enough of Pumpkin Spice Lattes so we’ve worked our usual witchcraft to create something truly magical.
Firstly we blended our own spice mix using Cinnamon, Ginger, Clove, Allspice and Nutmeg then used this to flavour our signature handmade pastry. The filling combines creme patisserie with pumpkin puree and Abracadabra! We’ve come up with a tasty Autumnal treat for the start of October.
As an added treat we’re extending our opening hours too. We’ll be open at 8:30am so more of you can grab a croissant and coffee on your way to ACTUAL work. We’re staying open a little longer as well – closing at 2pm rather than 1pm.
Halloween is fast approaching now so we’ll be firing up the cauldron and producing some tasty but ghoulish delights soon too. Pics to follow…

We’ve just had our 6th Birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a cake GIVEAWAY! Over on Instagram and facebook we gave followers the chance to win one of our delicious bespoke cakes simply by describing The Tiny Bakery in a few words.
It was fab to hear what people thought of us and thankfully they were all positive. Alexander won with his comment below, and he chose a chocolate cake as his prize!

At last, the Easter holidays are here (well, they are in Leicester!) We’ve had fun developing this years products and taste testing to get the best results. We’re open all week through till 2.30pm on Easter Saturday for you to buy your goodies for the week. (Closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday after Easter to recover from chocolate overload)
Easter Choc Chip Cookie
What could be better than a choc chip cookie, except a choc chip cookie with mini mini eggs strewn across it.
Our classic brownie, you know, the best one you’ve ever tasted, has been pimped with creme eggs, and we’ve added a mini egg blondie to the range of trybakes. It’s sooo good we might keep it going after Easter too!
Easter Rocky Road
Easter rocky road is back too, our house recipe but loaded with creme eggs, mini eggs, golden eggs…’scuse me while i drool a bit.
We’ve tweaked our cheesecakes and choux buns to give them an Easter theme, with more creme eggs and little chocolate nests.

So, lots to choose from, as well as our usual selection of pastries and cakes. We’re hoping there might be a few goodies left over for us on Saturday, but if not, well,we know you love our products and we’ve had plenty of tasters! Happy Easter everyone!
